Looking to the left Racecourse Side.

A warm, bright morning and the forecast is good.

Ten workers on the watered gallop first lot including our Glorious Goodwood hopefuls Trip To Paris, Red Avenger, Oasis Fantasy and Island Remede.

TTP heads to the Goodwood Cup, Red Avenger will try and retain his Betfred Mile crown, Island Remede is Lillie Langtry bound (ground permitting) while Oasis Fantasy, who holds an entry in the Brown Jack on Friday, will instead head to the Summer Handicap over a mile and six.

Six to the Al Bahathri second lot, while Highclere syndicate members Trevor Milner and Graham and Sue Steptoe were here to see Fieldsman canter.

One runner this evening with Naizah forming a trio of Sheikh Hamdan fillies’ in the mile maiden at Chelmsford. We were encouraged by her reappearance – she looked green as the pace quickened and the ground was on the lively side as well – but she stuck to her task hitting the rising ground and the extra furlong will be right up her street.

Privileged sets  the standard on official figures but this doesn’t appear to be a formidable maiden on paper.

One declaration for Thursday with Field Of Light heading to Wolverhampton for the mile and a half handicap. We have put first-time blinkers on to sharpen him up and it makes sense to turn him out quickly - he was given a 2lb rise this morning and 0-70s are off limits after this.

Field Of Light was one of six movers in the handicap following a busy week of runners. Sharaakah was given an introductory mark of 80 after her maiden victory here on Saturday.

Uninspiring meetings next Monday but a couple of early closers, with Zarwaan given the option of the Park Stakes at Doncaster and Island Remede entered in the Prix de Pomone at Deauville.

A thrilling finish to the golf – fitting for an incredibly exciting five days.

Finally, nine-year-old Jack Lander heads out on day three of his walk for the IJF today and he really is an inspiring young man. Judging by his Twitter feed, he looks to be enjoying the challenge so far and you can find out more about Jack’s story and, most importantly, donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/jockey-jacklander/
