Good morning from Newmarket. Today we venture to Wolverhampton where Global Destination contests the seven-furlong novice for 3yr olds and upwards at 7.30. We have taken things slowly with this son of Slade Power, allowing him time to fill his frame and mature.

His last start at Newcastle was promising, travelling well close to the pace until tiring inside the final furlong. While the form of this race has yet to be fully tested, the manner with which he travelled throughout the race was very encouraging and I hope he can build on that today as we step him up another furlong in distance.

As is to be expected with such contests, this looks to be very competitive with Tom Dascombe’s colt looking very useful when winning at HQ last April and James Tate’s filly, both looking to have leading chances.

However, Destination is progressing nicely and with Josie Gordon taking the mount, I am hopeful he can continue this progression with another good run today.

All the best,

Ed.
