Agar's Plough

Good morning from Newmarket. For the second day in a row, we send out one runner from La Grange when Agar’s Plough heads to Lingfield for the first time today. Global Spirit ran well yesterday at Kempton, travelling well until his effort flattened out in the final furlong. We may consider dropping him back in trip for his next outing.

Agar’s Plough takes his chance in the 1.30 one-mile handicap at Lingfield today. He goes there on the back of a very good run at Chelmsford, in a race that has worked out well thus far. He faces some stern opposition today with plenty of improvers in the line-up. Today is his first try on the Lingfield AW surface, and if taking to it I hope it can bring some further improvement. On the less positive side, he is three pounds higher for his last run, and being drawn in stall nine will not make his task any easier. Oisin Murphy takes the ride, and I hope he will have a decent EW chance.

All the best,

Ed
