Yes Can Do

Good morning from Newmarket. A quiet afternoon awaits, but I do saddle one runner this evening in the 6.15 at Kempton.

The horse in question is the No Nay Never filly Yes Can Do, who bids to get back on track following a blip at Yarmouth. Having shown a fair degree of promise behind subsequent Fillies Mile fourth Shambolic on her debut at Newmarket in August, she refused to load at Yarmouth about five weeks later.

We have been working on her in the stalls in the meantime, and the Witherfords will be on hand to help out at the start this evening. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly in that department for Yes Can Do and jockey David Probert. Once the loading process is out of the way, our next obstacle is a very wide draw in stall 11. That compromises our chance significantly, and I will be instructing the rider to try and get away nicely and then do his best to tuck in and find a position. Hopefully the step back in trip will prove suitable and she can run a good race and belatedly build on her debut promise.

All the best,
Ed.
