Treble for Dunlop

Tue 27 April 2010

TRAINER Ed Dunlop continued his solid start to the new season today when scoring a hat trick. BINTALWAADI got the ball rolling with a smooth success in a mile maiden at Lingfield and just over an hour later SCARCITY also shed her maiden tag in a handicap at Yarmouth.

The former, a daughter of Barathea, was sent off the 6/5 favourite following her encouraging second at Nottingham last July.

Despite being off the track for a long time Sheikh Hamdan's filly showed a good attitude in the race and was soon to the fore in the hands of jockey Richard Hills. She settled nicely and Hills was able to dictate matters from the front, quickening round the bend and then drawing nicely clear to score by two and three quarter lengths.

Scarcity, a well made filly by Invincible Spirit, was making her handicap debut over 6f and won well under Ryan Moore by a length and three quarters.

KANAF completed a good day's work for the La Grange team by taking a 5f maiden at Nottingham.
