Indian Warrior

It has been another bright and sunny morning at HQ with the dry spell continuing in Suffolk. Yesterday’s runners did not trouble the judge with Amlad in particular running below expectations. James Doyle reported that he stopped quickly. We will give him a thorough examination to identify the cause of this. Hallalulu was green on debut and will have learned plenty for the experience. While Al Nafoorah was a little keen on her return from a break, and tired in the latter part of the race. She can progress from her first run in six months.

Today I send two to Ripon with Global Art first to the starting stalls in the 1m 2f ‘Follow @riponraces On Twitter Handicap’ (2.40). This is his second try at the trip after running well over 10f at Nottingham in early May.  He stayed on well there from off the pace, and if handling the undulations of Ripon, I hope a repeat of that performance will see him involved at the finish and give him a decent EW chance.

Indian Warrior runs in the 6f ‘Free Daily Tips On attheraces.com Handicap’ (4.10). At Nottingham last run he kept on well after being slightly impeded leaving the stalls. He has been dropped a pound for this run and competes today from a BHA mark of 70. I try blinkers on him today to sharpen his focus a little, and if taking to Ripon, I hope he can make a prominent showing in a typically competitive 3yr old handicap.

All the best,

Ed.
