Snow Fairy is ''coming on well''

Sun 27 February 2011

SNOW FAIRY came through her third full-scale gallop since her winter holiday at Newmarket on Friday morning, and Ed declared that it was a case of "so far, so good".

He said:"The filly is just where we want her at this stage, and she is on track for Dubai. The World Cup is Plan A, but we do not have to make an early decision on whether to run on the tapeta or the turf, and we won't make up our minds until we get out there. Provided things go smoothly over the next 10 days, Snow Fairy will fly out to Dubai on March 13."

Meanwhile, Ed expressed his satisfaction with the way that Native Khan, arguably the stable's most exciting classic prospect for this year, has wintered, though no firm plans have been made for the Solario Stakes winner.

He added:"Native Khan is cantering away, and I am very happy with him. He looks well and he has matured from two to three and strengthened up so he too, is just where we want him."

Ed is also happy with the condition of the two-year-olds. "He said:"We have had the usual coughs, sneezes and ringworm running through the yard, but they look a decent crop, and, while we haven't got a Brocklesby contender, there are a few precocious types in there, so, hopefully, one or two might be early."
