Red Cadeaux Returns

Mon 05 January 2015

Red Cadeaux is finally home in Newmarket and enjoying a well earned rest!

It has been a busy 2014 for the jet-setting veteran who starts the New Year with a well deserved rest, allowing him plenty of time to decide what his next move will be. Red Cadeaux, now famed for having finished second three times in the Emirates Melbourne Cup has continued to give the team at La Grange Stables many reasons to be proud this season, proving to be strong competition to horses half his age in top class races.

Having spent the last four years traveling between Europe, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Dubai and Singapore, Red Cadeaux has been a flagbearer for Ed Dunlop Racing as well as his owner Ronald Arculli. He has built a reputation as an international traveler who has picked up an ever growing fan base along the way.

Now officially a nine-year-old, he has achieved 7 wins, 12 seconds, 6 thirds and 5 fourth places from a total of 47 starts. He has boarded over twenty flights and competed in eight countries, staying away from home for months at a time with traveling head lad Robin Trevor-Jones and track work rider Stephen Nicholson.

Watch this space to see where his travels will take him next... but for now he is well and truly enjoying his holidays back home in Newmarket.
