Innis Does It Again

Tue 10 May 2016

Inniscastle Lad headed to Brighton on the back of his first win in nearly two years after he won a three runner handicap at Lingfield on his first attempt at ten furlongs. Silvestre De Sousa soon had the son of Kyllachy at the front of affairs once more after winning an early skirmish for the lead and he was able to dictate a sensible gallop. The favourite loomed up travelling well but our horse kept finding for pressure and won a shade cosily by one and a half lengths.

This was only a five runner affair but our gelding seemed to enjoy himself and he travelled noticably sweeter in the early stages of the race compared to his previous outing. Given the favourite looked like he did not stay the form of this victory is questionable but our gelding took another step forward and we hope the handicapper is not too punitive when he re-assesses him in the near future. This was Silvestre De Sousa's tenth winner for the yard from eighteen rides this season. Well done to everyone here at La Grange, the horses continue to be in good health and let's hope that we can continue the recent good form throughout the rest of the season.
