Toro Dorado

With Christmas and New Year now behind us, we at La Grange are beginning to get excited about the start of the new flat season.

It has been a quiet but successful week for the yard with four runners being sent out, with all of them being placed. Homesick Boy ran a brilliant race at Chelmsford and was just beaten by a neck. He looked as if he was impeded by the eventual winner and was very unlucky not to get the verdict. The highlight of the week was Toro Dorado’s gutsy performance at Lingfield, he got up to win under a brilliant ride from Luke Morris (The Sniper).

Things are quietening down here in terms of runners with Ten Chants, Roca Magica, Homesick Boy and Sir Gnet being the only horses entered so far for next week. We are starting to draw our focus onto the impending start of the British Turf Season in March. As you may have seen from our social media, our two year olds have already been out on the grass and we are looking forward to seeing their progression over the coming months.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Cheers

Ed
