Youarestar

Good Afternoon from Newmarket. We have a pair of runners today, kicking off with Youarestar in the 1.40 at Newbury.

A big and backward son of Sea The Stars with a fabulous temperament, I would like to think that he will make a racehorse at some stage, and the dam was smart - winning her first two before finishing fourth in the Gr.1 Prix Saint-Alary. He has just been a little weak and needed time, but I have generally been pleased with his progression. He needs the experience and I selected Newbury as I thought it would be an ideal track to start off at. The market leaders set a good standard, but I am looking forwrd to seeing a nice introduction for our lad. Eddie Greatrex take the ride.

Our only other runner today is Agar's Plough in the 6.15 at Kempton. This horse has been rather disappointing but definitely has the ability to be involved from his mark of 71. His most recent run at Brighton was a disaster as he patently failed to handle the track, but he is in the sales next week so it would be great to see him run more encouragingly beforehand. The more conventional track should suit and we have secured the services of the excellent Jason Watson, so we keep our fingers crossed.

Best wishes,

Ed.
