Say Nothing

Good morning everyone from Newmarket.

To begin, we are delighted to see Sophie Smith picking up extra rides around the country and the experience should prove invaluable.

Sir Gnet has been declared to run today at Newcastle over 1m4f. We are hopeful of a strong run and it looks the right race for him. Brian Ellison’s mare, Sweet Marmalade, may prove the horse to beat. Although, we are hoping Ben Curtis’ magical run of form will give us every chance in being competitive. Say Nothing is also declared to run in the 2m handicap at Chelmsford on Saturday evening with Sophie Smith taking the ride. She should run a nice race although we are just getting to know her since arriving from Hughie Morrison’s yard. (This run should tell us a lot more and where exactly we are at with her.)

Looking ahead at next week’s entries, Toro Dorado is likely to take his chance in the 1m1f handicap at Wolverhampton on Monday. He is in great form at home and I am very hopeful of a big run. Roca Magica has come out of her Chelmsford victory well. We have a number of our string entered next week and I will keep you posted on where we stand.

Looking back at last week I was pleased with Gottardo’s run at Lingfield. We will look to find a race of a similar nature and all being well; he should continue to run consistently.

Out on the gallops, our yearling’s had their first experience of Warren Hill. Everything went smoothly and we are really looking forward to getting them going throughout the rest of the month. This also saw Head Lad, Gordon back in the saddle which put a smile on everybody’s face.

All the best,

Ed
