FAREER, who was runner-up in the Group 2 Zabeel Mile at Meydan during the Dubai Carnival, misses the Lincoln and will run instead in the Earl of Sefton Stakes at our local Craven meeting next week.
Ed said "We considered Doncaster, but Sheikh Hamdan (Al-Maktoum) already has the favourite for the race in Taqleed, and, besides having a big weight, our fellow would probably have preferred a bit faster ground than is likely now following the 3mm of rain which fell on Wednesday. Therefore, we have opted to have a tilt at the Earl of Sefton, and, hopefully, the race will suit him."
