Ed has enjoyed a productive couple of days at Park Paddocks, purchasing two colts from the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale and we are delighted to offer these youngsters for sale.

Belardo Yearling For Sale

The first, Lot 191, is a bay colt by Belardo, the former Champion Two-Year-Old who has enjoyed a fine start with his first crop of racecourse age.

Included among his 10 winners to date are Isabella Giles, a seven-length winner of the Group 3 Prestige Stakes who holds an entry in the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket on Friday and recent Group 3 third, Lullaby Moon.

This colt, an attractive type from Danesrath Stud, is out an unraced Dansili own-sister to the Listed-placed, Shall We.

His second dam, Insight, won the Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes and was placed in the French Oaks, while the Classic blood continues throughout the page with Insight being an own sister to Irish 2,000 Guineas hero, Saffron Walden. This is also the family of Dolphin Street, winner of the Group 1 Prix de la Foret who also ran second in the Group 1 July Cup.

Ed said: “The Belardo is a good-looking, scopey colt who is a fluent mover with an eye-catching walk. He looks like a horse that will improve with time but he is very athletic and I have been impressed with the start made by the stallion. He should race at two and improve with age.”

The colt was purchased for £15,000.

Buratino Yearling For Sale

Ed’s second buy, Lot 285, is bred to be sharp and smart being a son of fellow first-season sire Buratino, the high-class two-year-old who won the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. His current crop includes Snapraeterea, who ran a fine fourth in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes for Joseph O’Brien.

This colt is a half-brother to the prolific Art Wave, an 11-time winner who plied his trade admirably both on these shores and in the UAE, running a career best when taking third Group 3 Jebel Ali Mile.

Offered from Sherbourne Lodge, his family also includes European Champion Two-Year-Old Filly Blue Duster, Group 1 French Guineas third Fantasia and Group 3 Classic Trial winner Berlin Tango, who got the better of this month's St Leger third Pyledriver on that occasion.

Ed said: “This is a racy colt who looks a hardy type that will be relatively early. I thought he was particularly good value as an athletic individual who also walked well. He should provide us with plenty of fun in the springtime and beyond.”

This colt was purchased for £12,500.
