Bay Gelding
DOB: 12 Mar 2000
Desert Prince (IRE) x Ballet Society (FR) (Sadler's Wells (USA))

Swift Tango is from the family of Group 3 Queen Mary Stakes winner Gwydion alonside Enrique, who finished runner-up in the 2,000 Guineas as well as the Irish equivalent.

Swift Tango won five times during his 33-race career, opening his account in an extended 1m classified contest at Windsor in June 2003. He won once more that summer, landing a 1m1f Ripon handicap in the August.

Having a won a Lingfield handicap off a mark of 82 in January 2004, Swift Tango was when prepared for the Dubai International Racing Carnival. His first run at Nad Al Sheba was on dirt, but he did not act on the surface and finished eleventh. However he fulfilled his promise on his second start in a competitive handicap, where he finished second.

A summer plying his trade in the most competitive handicaps followed, including a third-place finish in the Spring Mile at Doncaster as well as occupying the same position in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Sandwiched between those gallant efforts was a win over 1m4f at Newbury, while he gained his final - and most high-profile success - in a Listed handicap at Chester in the August. He was then placed in Listed company on his final three starts, running his last race at Ascot in September 2004.
