San Diaco

Grey Gelding
DOB: 23 Jan 2016
Kodiac x Cland di San Jore (Lando)
Owner: Miltil Consortium

This colt is by the incredible Kodiac, who continues to go from strength to strength.

His dam Cland Di San Jore was a five-time winner in Italy, and she has already had notable success as a broodmare. Her six winning progeny include the Italian Gr.3 winner So Many Shots, and the Listed-placed pair Batezar and Meganisi. With many of her progeny excelling at middle distances (Meganisi even proved useful over hurdles), this youngster could well turn out to be a Kodiac that stays well.

Indeed, although best known as a source of speed, the sire is now widely regarded as a good influence for stamina too. This was highlighted in 2018 by the three 12-furlong Gr.1 wins of his son Best Solution, and the continued good work of Danehill Kodiac at up to a mile and five-furlongs.

San Diaco has had two runs so far, progressing enormously from his first outing to his second. He will have his third run on Greenham day at Newbury to qualify for a mark, and will hopefully have a nice future in handicaps further down the line.
