Nidhaal (IRE)

Chesnut Filly
DOB: 07 Mar 2003
Observatory x Jeed (Mujtahid)
Owner: Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum

Nidhaal is from the family of Assert, who won seven races including the Irish Derby, Group 1 Prix du Jockey Club, the Group 1 Benson & Hedges Gold Cup and the Group 1 Joe McGrath Memorial Stakes.

She is out of Jeed, who won once as a juvenile with us, and she followed in her dam's footsteps by making a winning debut, bolting up on the July Course by six lengths. She followed this up with a fine run in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes, finishing second by two lengths.

She remained in Pattern company for her next outing and put in a fine display when landing the Listed Dick Poole Stakes over 6f. One her final start that summer she ran in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes, finishing fifth of ten runners having returned slightly lame.

She confirmed she had trained on when finishing second in Listed company on her first start at three. She recaptured that form when finishing second in the Listed Flower Of Scotland Stakes at Hamilton in September 2006 and was retired having finished down the field at Newmarket the following month.
