Moon Solitaire (IRE)

Bay Colt
DOB: 24 Jan 1997
Night Shift (USA) x Gay Fantastic (Ela-Mana-Mou)

Moon Solitaire ran once as a two-year old and won his maiden on his second start at three. He then went on to win the Tote Trifecta Stakes Handicap at Newmarket by two lengths and continued to have a successful three-year old campaign in competitive handicaps.

We were obviously delighted with his first run as a four-year old when he finished third in the Rosebery Handicap when carrying plenty of weight. He continued to show good form through out his four-year old career and went on to win again and was placed on numerous occasions.

At the end of his four-year old campaign, he was sent to America where Henry Cochran trained him. He won the Grade 2 King Edward Breeder's Cup Handicap at Woodbine in 2002 and was third in the Grade 2 Bowling Green Handicap. He was sold at the Kentucky sales in 2004.

His dam was unraced and he is a half brother to Fantastic Belle, who won at three years and was placed three times. He is from the family of Germano, who won in Listed company and was Group placed, including the Princess Of Wales's Stakes.
